Cassava Harvesting Machine CHM-3407
The cassava harvesting machine CHM-3407
operates according to the dig and pull principle. The root stocks are laid down in swath
on the land surface.
Functioning:
- cutting of soil
- digging of soil
- raising up of soil containing the cassava root cluster
Cassava cultivated on ridges as well as on plain soil can be harvested by this machine.
Row distances between 800 mm and 1400 mm are possible. The machine replaces the physically
heavy work of cassava harvesting.
Using the
harvesting machine CHM-3407
you will have the following advantages:
1. Lowering of total costs of the production process
2. Increasing of labour productivity
3. Considerable decrease of harvesting losses and damages
4. Continuous supply of the market and processing plants with fresh cassava roots
5. Digging of 2-3 ha in 8 hours
Functioning:
The machine cuts and loosens the growth area of the root cluster by two vertical
beams and the share attached to the baseplate. The cassava root cluster is loosened
carefully and raised up about 200 mm. The pulling elements, connected with the stem
guiding device, pull out completely the loosened root stock and lay it down behind
the machine. The CHM-3407 is attached to the three-point linkage system of the tractor
and is regulated in its working depth. The pulling elements are driven hydraulically.
OPERATION of CHM-3407

Cassava harvesting according to the dig and pull principle:
1. Frame of digging tool; 2. Digging share; 3. Frame of pulling device;
4. Stem guiding device; 5. Pulling elements.
